Everyone should “know” that real life is much more diverse than comics and cartoons. Yet, we still get a lot of hateful, pointlessly close-minded people, further fueled by media with falsely “ideal” body types- saying characters of either gender are “grossly obese” when they are muscular and firmly built, or curvy and big boned; or “looks like a dude” when it’s simply a masculine woman, and vice versa. (Though feminine men are a sought after exception due to Yaoi, which is both an inaccurate portrayal of gay couples and unfair to gay men that are feminine.)
